My usual late muzzle hunt is 172 and 181 for white tail. My buddy is trying to talk me into chasing Mulies in 381. Does anyone know success rates? Is it mostly private?

Harvest report shows 34% success rate. For about 100 does and 50 bucks. I haven't hunted it but know it's almost all private land. I wouldn't waste my time unless I had permission on private land. Any of it that's open to the public will be very crowded.
