halloween hog ! blacktail
« on: November 16, 2013, 08:00:18 PM »
I typically spend the majority of the regular season scouting for elk but with the chances of getting into some good bucks in some pre rut dumbness it is always worth bringing along the deer rifle . This dude was taken on the 31st while watching a group of elk at 3/4 of a mile through the spotting scope . I had seen a number of bucks throught out the season but nothing i was willing to do the 4 mile haul out for. Until i noticed this stud making a mess out of some scrub alders while grunting his happy but off on the search for his does. Pierce County produces again .
