Tag Soup!
« on: November 18, 2013, 11:32:34 PM »
Well deers finally over. I could have shot a buck during general season but it would not have been one to talk about, strictly a freezer deer. What really saved him was his location and my unfamiliarity with a whole bunch of new roads in the area. He'll be alot bigger next year. The TFS of late season was spent with my daughter touring colleges in E. Wash. She will be applying to WSU Pullman!  Got out late yesterday after a buck i wanted to meet. Saw a big deer scooting thru the trees and took chase. It went across a river and that was that. Big deer but i dont know if it was a buck. The day did however give up a very nice fat ruffed grouse! Now for late archery elk?  :dunno:

I too had a solid opportunity for general. Passed on the shot as I was estimated the distance a bit further than it actually was (Last time I will leave the range finder behind  :bash:).
Having been out of the game for quite a few years It was good to get back out in the woods.

I did manage to explore allot of area and mix in a whole lot of new spices in the later half of the season to the soup. Even though it is still soup the mixing sure did make it taste better.  :chuckle:
 Time to kill some Fowl and look forward to planning for next season.
