I think you may have failed to mention which pistol you were contemplating? :dunno: :chuckle:

gonna be stiff on the shot with wood grips.  she might prefer rubber.  i EDC a S&W 637 (hammered) .38+P.  with defense loads, you know when you shoot it!   ;)

My wife packed a model 60 fora number os years. 357 was a hadnfull, but 38's, piece of cake. Great gun if you can find one!

I have the S&W 640 Stainless .357cal. that I carry in an ankle holster. I hardly know its there most of the time. I almost walked into my grandson's school with it last week. :yike: That would have been a lousy day for sure. It shoots real good with the .38 special rounds and not that bad with the .357. Definitely you would want the rubber grips though.

That would be perfect for her. Just pull the trigger. You don't have to worry about a pistol having one in the chamber or jamming.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I've got a S&W Bodyguard. Its a pretty snappy little revolver. Doesn't bother me,but my wife wouldn't like it.

get some confidence loads for her, don't run full power loads off the get-go.

either load some low power stuff with a mild "pop" or find some low recoil stuff

That's a good idea ill load some that are not to much for her. She has a 9mm Ruger sr9c right now but it a little big for her to conceal still

They are great guns my wife can handle them in 357 easy. Started her with 38 and the wood grips arent that bad. My sister has a 357 3" with wood grips too and its easy to shoot. Full loaded 357 158gr are snappy out of any short Barrel revolver no matter weight or grip :twocents: my dads sp101 is a beast with 180gr hand loads
