It seems as though our sun has decided to rob us of our comet of the century, if not of all time, and bake our billion pound chunk 'o dirty ice into oblivion.

Further observations from satelites able to view the side of the sun unobservable from earth are needed for confirmation.

If true legal action is expected

One of those illustrations (the YouTube and next pic) is confusing the way I am looking at it. It shows the travel of the comet towards the sun. Illustrated as the intense heat source on the left. It illustrates two planets Earth and Mercury. Did the planets get shuffled around? From the sun outward it was Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars etc etc etc. Has this generation rearranged the planets too?  :yike:
times before with just leather, wool and cotton.

A link?  Venus could also be out of the picture if it was at about 180* rotational position to Mercury and Earth
