Can anyone ID this AR throw lever scope mount?
« on: December 04, 2013, 10:36:17 PM »
I've been trying to ID the manufacturer from just this photo. It's not a Larue or a Knights. I would like to put one on the Grendel.

hmmm looks like a LaRue..but like you said, it's not.

it does look cool, but from a reliability standpoint and being able to hold zero on a working weapon, I would not trust it for a second...reminds me of a diving board...boing boing...one good smack, and you lost your zero.

looks more tacti-cool than usefull.

Get a solid one piece mount that bridges the upper and the forward rail.

Looks cool, but like a previous poster said, it's too fragile.  I use Rock River one piece mounts on my AR builds. Being somewhat short of stature, a standard mount works for me.  They also make a Cantilever mount in 1" or 30mm.  My scopes got banged against rocks several times, and never lost zero.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I don't think it's UTG, I looked. I can't see I custom builder assembling a AR like that and frosting it with crap.

it depends on what the "market" wants for frosting.

"Tacti-cool" sells better than "usefull"!!!

True--and the sad thing is, sometimes the "junk" costs more than the good stuff!

Cann we get a better picture? Looks like light reflection maybe?
maybe this
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/961987/american-defense-recon-x-quick-release-extra-extended-scope-mount-picatinny-style-with-34mm-rings-ar-15-flat-top-matte

No, it doesn't have the silver center pin/ hole? on the bottom of the ring. Hmmmmmmm.

Subtract the "Bingo" and back to zero.
