I had been searching for a quality muzzle brake for my 18" Grendel build. It had to be a side port discharge brake and it had to be threaded 5/8-24. I like running 5/8-24 thread on everything. Killer Innovations has just come out with this brake, I was about to pull the trigger on a SJC Titan.

Killer Innovations had one quick UTube Video and info on their FaceBook page. Well we all know in the shooting world most often than not, you get what you pay for but I liked the looks of the KI brake and at 49.95, half the cost of the Titan I was a bit skeptical until I got the brake in hand. I wasn't the least bit disappointed, this brake is machined and finished extremely well.

It has 90 degree side discharge with the bottom being closed, the Bottom of the ports being angled up to direct muzzle blast up away from the shooter and not throw dirt and what not from the prone off a bipod.

The two top ports are machined at a angle, which is the same angle in line with the opposite bipod leg. It is one tough looking brake. I really like the counter sunk face and the fluted bottom, I've used allot of brakes and some thought and engineering went into this brake. They must have some serious equipment to produce these.

Sharp looking brake! Look forward to a field report.

I just picked up a new one as well http://precisionarmament.com/product/m41-muzzle-brake/ this one is going on the newest build that is in the works. They make a 6.5 as well so if it works out well I will put one on my Grendel. If not I might look to this one you are using. I like the look's of it.

Carp,

Is that one open on the bottom? It looks as if it is?

No! I've never used that type of brake. Some of them blast the crap away from you. I guess it all depends on the breeze. I have several  Muscle Brakes that are closed on the bottom  and do a good job of directing the blast away and beating the spotter up a bit but every now and then  the wind is right, so me and my optics eat dirt.

:chuckle: Indeed I really love my Holland brakes that are closed on the bottom. I watched a few videos and read a few reviews then wouldn't you know it. The dang thing just showed up at my door :chuckle:

Oh and it won't spend to much time on the rifle. I bought it for hunting out of state. Most of the time something much quieter and made of titanium will be on the end of the rifle
