Duck spots????
« on: November 07, 2008, 02:49:21 PM »
i must ask straight out...
im switching gears from big game to ducks and pheasants so i wanted to just talk about some possibly good areas.
i have a couple good spots but i was wondering where you guys have had luck with some ducks in years past.
i dont expect you to just give up your honey holes but i thought i would ask.
send me a PM if you have any spots you would like to give up...
thanks guys

Snohomish? monroe? Duvall? Carnation? potholes????

here is some pics from last year....

There are some public places open in the snohomish valley that are no secret and you can walk into. Fobes just below bickford ave, and also just south of the Hwy 2 trestle is now open. Fobes can be kind of a cluster **** but we've had some epic days out there, but we worked for it. You gotta get in there early and get setup, but don't be suprised if some a holes setup right close to you. During the week is better to go. Now if you have a jet sled there are a ton more opportunities...

We also hunt moses lake/potholes a couple times a year. There are places to walk in from over there too.
Take her easy, and if she's easy take her twice.

Such as....?

Finally getting a boat this year, in fact picking it up tomorrow, so I was curious.

Such as tons of backwater spots all along the snohomish river. You pretty much just gotta get out and scout and you'll find them. I'm not giving away any secrets, seein as how it would be pretty hard to get you there without GPS coordinates anyhow.

No worries as the boat we were looking at didn't pan out.  We're still foot-bound for the near future.

Same for us. Found a pretty sweet sled in ID but still waiting for the guy to send more pictures. That's a long drive to find out the boat is a piece of crap.
