Trial and error.  :dunno: Fireball is pretty cinnamon-y, so I think it would be pretty hard to overdo it. I made some chili pepper infused vodka one time and it took a lot more peppers then I would have thought. Leaving the bottle in the sun kind of helps.

It is usually not recommended to store any alcoholic drinks in sunlight.  A little won't hurt, but long periods of exposure will breakdown the drink.

Because money is beyond tight and I have a half gallon of Monarch quality whiskey and cinnamon sticks on hand right now.

Cinnamon sticks + whiskey = cinnamon whiskey.  Would adding some simple syrup to that make it more of the liqeur that Fireball is?

I've seen a few folks blending the cinnamon whiskeys like Fireball with Angry Orchards. I've heard it's a killer hangover though if you end up being over-served. 
Which side are you on if neither will claim you?

I would suggest adding anyting possible to the Monarch to make it even drinkable. How much worse could it be?

Back in my college days we use to make "Jolly Juice" Monarch vodka infused with jolly ranchers. We would use 35 for a fifth. That might be a pretty good starting point. We always just drained/drank a little out of the bottle dumped in the candy then laid them on their side for a couple days on the counter. Couple times a day go and kind of shake up the bottle to keep the candy from sticking to the bottle. Only took a day or two for them to compeltely dissolve.

I found a good looking recipe that called for 4 cinnamon sticks to soak for a week.  Then 100ml of simple syrup added to 650ml of infused whisky.  Started the cinnamon infusion last night

Take 4 full lengths sticks and droppinto the bottle. Shake several times daily for a week or longer. Pull the sticks and add some sugar to taste. It always tastes better with good booze but you have what you got. Besides shooting it, you can warm some apple cider(cheap store bought is OK) and add some fireball.... Short version of apple pie.

The main way to add flavor to store bought alcohol, 190proof everclear, or cheap whisky, is to think of what you are adding like a tea bag. You "steep" the flavoring for taste, and let sit as long as possible to let the flavors mellow. It is best to shake and let mellow after you add sugar to your concoction.  The alcohol strips a lot of the oils out of your"tea bag" for flavoring. It can also be done with fruit but takes much longer 4-6 months. Good luck

In order to drink fire ball . It must be put in the freezer . Taste so much better. It's really good mixed 50-50 with hot apple cider.  This my new drink for in the drift boat on cold days. :kneel: :party1:

One of the best stories from college in Ellensburg was a guy in the Wild Goose Casino demanding his money back and the end of the night, claiming the casino had over-served him, which caused him to subsequently lose his taxpayer funded bankroll.

He was escorted out in a less than dignified manner.......

  I developed a good recipe for a fireball mix.    half eggnog and half fireball.  add ice if needed.  it is really quite tasty.  mike w

I was reading this post and thinking to myself my wife really likes the Fireball stuff too, with hot cocoa.  Wouldn't the same extract used in baking work?  I think the flavor would be more closely matched without adding as much or any actual sugar.  The cinnamon extract liquid comes in the little brown bottles in any grocery store.

For those who might want to make thier own from the ground up, try this site.  They have a stil called Mr. Distiller that sits on the counter top like a coffee pot.  They also have all the flavorings for making just about anything that you want, inluding Scnapps and cinnamom stuff.
