I have an idea, don't go where you need to purchase any passes ............. it's our friggin' land to start with, not the gubmint. They just want to control every aspect of our lives, BULLCRAP, is all I have to say !!
Easy for you to say but you live in a place where it's cool to just hang out in your yard.
We have places over here where we need them, right by the house. My wife buys one every year, but I refuse too. I think I'll go ride around in my newly inspected street legal, licensed plated side x side now. 
I would love to get a license plated Razor side by side.
