New Guy
« on: December 17, 2013, 10:11:38 PM »
Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself on this thread, as it will likely be where I am going to be most active.  My name is Brent, born and raised on the wetside, 29years old, and just starting to get into hunting.  I have been Hunting a few time in the past years without success but my desire to bag my first buck is really eating at me.  I just recently became a father and would like to pass on this passtime/tradition with my boy once he is of age.  I have finally gotten to a place in life where I can begin making hunting a yearly event  :IBCOOL:.  I am a modern firearm hunter currently and am thinking about trying the 100gmu's in the 2014 season.  I know that is a long time from now...but I have been craving some steak for too long so I am getting a jump on the planning.  I hope you all can provide some guidance (gear, tactics, locations, etc) for me so that I too can become a successfull hunter at somepoint in the near future.

Aim true,

Brent

Welcome. Always good to hear about dads wanting to pass on the sport to the young ones. Many of us never had that opportunity.

Good intro Brent. Welcome to the site and keep coming back. It seems to kind of slow down during the winter after hunting season is over with but most of these guys and gals will respond if prodded with the right questions. Good luck and keep in touch.
