Eastern Gray Squirrels are introduced pests, they are not protected, no limit and no closed season.  You just need a licence.  Kill all you want.

dbr525 - it's always surprised me that there's not a tree-squirrel season here. Sure doesn't seem like any shortage of them. I thoroughly enjoyed hunting tree squirrels in Maryland and Virginia when I was stationed on the east coast. It's a wonderful way to use an accurate .22 rimfire!

Does it matter what kind of hunting license?  i.e. 'yotes are OK with a big game license but you need a small game for 'coons.
A peculiar virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience, rather than that of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact.
