If I were to have just shot a deer on a antlerless tag that had shed It's antlers, do to welts or blood patches on the head, I would think I was in the right , But on the other hand, I probably would feel sneaky and nervous like I had just shoplifted something. :yike:

Disclaimer: the definition of "antlerless" I posted was taken from Illinois Department of Natural Resources. As this thread began to gain steam it was unclear what the OP was asking including what state he may be in , so I took a wild stab at it. Apparently he is not hunting in Illinois .

"So if you saw a doe with antlers would you shoot that?"

Now how would I know it's a doe if it had antlers? I'm usually looking at their head trying to spot antlers. I'm not looking at their junk. Of course I'd shoot if I saw antlers and that was a legal animal.

:yeah: that was a bit of a stretch.  I can see that being in the rule books, something to do with a visible wee-wee.
