Where to pattern a shotgun around king/snohomish county?
« on: December 29, 2013, 11:56:56 AM »
Looking to pattern a few different loads and chokes, anybody know of a range where you can do this? I called the Kenmore gun range and they only let members do it i guess. Dont really want to have to drive and spend a bunch of gas to go pattern it but that is looking like what i will have to do, even then it seems like everywhere has a no shooting sign. Figured i would see before i went if anyone on here knew of a place?

Renton Fish n Game Club has a patterning board. You might want to call them though, they may have a shot size restriction, I can't remember for sure.

They don't allow game loads, and I believe nothing bigger than 7 1/2.

Where? Black diamond? Seattle trap and skeet doesn't allow rifles?

I've seen people patterning shotguns at Issaquah Sportsmens Club.  I would call them first.

If you want to get together I can take you out by Darrington to pattern your shotgun. I can put together a few frames up and set them one behind the other at set distances with paper on each target frame so you can see the patern with one shot at like ten yards, fifteen yards and twenty yards. I have a new Winchester SuperX3 that I'd like to patern. I can pick up the paper from Lowes fot the backstop. Durring the week would be a better day to get out.
I need to make these frames up for myself any way, I'll get going on them tomorrow or Wed. Let me know if you want to get out and do some shooting. Pat

Marysville Rifle Club has a patterning board.  We are open to the public every Wednesday night from 5-9 (if there is still customers) for trap & five stand.  The board is available to use then.  We are also open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month 6-9 PM.  It is lighted well.  PM me if you need aditional info.
