Congrats on your cow!! Great way to start the new year. The ole .270 sure fills a lot of freezers.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Congrats you guys! Was out trying to find one for my nephew today. But its really tough. He was shot during an attempted robbery about 4 or 5 years ago. And is paralyzed from the waist down and not very strong in the arms and upper body. Cant get out of a rig to shoot so have to line the rig up to the animal so he can get an aim. Hopefully we can pull it off for him. His designated hunter can shoot one for him. But we really want him to be the one that shoots.

Sister and Brother in law had him out this afternoon. Spotted some elk on private property that has been off limits for as long as i can remember. In the Bones, Finkas rd. area. Thought they would knock on the door and at least try to get permission. The land owner was very nice. Explained why he doesnt allow hunting. Barn and other things shot up many many years ago.. As they were driving off BOOM! somebody shoots one of the cows. Last I heard was the landowner was walking out to talk to them. My guess is that they may be regretting that decision. Hope he presses charges!

Did see a nice bull right off the bat this morning. Been a few times lately where we could have shot bulls but not cows when we are trying to fill a cow tag. Hopefully its a good sign for next year.
