7x57 questions
« on: December 30, 2013, 07:40:11 PM »
Hey guys I've got this 7x57 I've had for nearly 20 years. I hunted with it for about 15 yrs or so and no longer have a need for it. I don't know a lot about collector value and to be honest I'm not into collecting mausers. I want to trade for a bow I can hunt with so my question is what realistically should I value the gun?

It is sporterized and not the original stock. Holds 4 shells with trap door on the bottom. Has some pitting I guess is what you would call it.
Some animals WERE harmed in the making of this Hunter. They were also dragged through the dirt, butchered and tasted delicious fried with butter and bacon.

it's a small ring, probably spanish 93, which doesn't help it.  they're not sought after like the swede 96s.  it's pretty rough as it sits.  i've paid $100 for similar.  the small ring hinged triggerguard is probably the best piece.  I bought two rough ones for $79 a piece two years ago just for the bottom metal.
