I just got the 2014 Mathews Chill this year and I absolutely love it. Came from a Switchback XT that i loved so i figured why not shoot another Mathews but like everyone else said, shoot some different bows from different manufacturers and buy the one that suits you best.

Remember to have at least 290 FPS with hunting arrows and 70+ pounds of kinetic energy or else it wont kill the deer.

Jokes aside, go with something that's reasonable and mainstream and feels good to shoot.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Ford , Chevy , Dodge,

I have shot for all of the major bow manufacturers. I set records with all three. PSE,Mathews,Hoyt. You need to choose one that feels good to you. Speed is not the deciding factor. Speed kills in every sport. Some guys handel it better than most. Accuracy and feeling comfortable with your equipment is the key. I do not shoot my Hoyt any better than I did my Mathews or PSE. If you can afford it the Carbon Matrix is very smooth ,light and fast. Charlie will take good care of you over on the Pensinula. I know him well. If you go there tell him Jim Miller Says Hi.

Another consideration is your rest. Alot of guys spend $800.00- $1000.00 on a bow and put a $50.00 rest on it. Do you put cheap tires on your car. Compoments are very important from the right arrow broadhead combination to the sight and rest. Above all it is what feels comfortable to you

I agree with Jim, but look at the quality of the bow you are buying. I spent a lot of money on a new bow and it was not all it was cracked up to be. I am back to shooting hoyts but all the big three are good bows. remember  though you can buy the best shootings bow for you but if you do not put good parts on it you still have nothing

one of the best things to remember is it's not the bow that makes you an accurate shooter, put an amazing bow in an amateurs hands, hes gonna shoot the same if he had a cheap bow.  Put a cheap bow in the hands of a professional archer and he is gonna out shoot all of us with it anyways.  fact of the matter is is there is a large selection of bows to look at and whichever of those bows make you feel comfortable and confident is the bow for you.

I have felt real confident in the bowtechs and bears I have owned but like others have said there are so many good bows out now you have to shoot as many as you can to see what's right for you. If I could go get another one right now the bowtech experience would be it!
