First Lion Chase, I am hooked!!
« on: January 09, 2014, 07:42:10 PM »
The wife and I got to run our first lion today here in Western Montana. It was a blast!!! I can see why some of you guys are hooked on the hounds!!!

We got a fresh inch of snow last night. We started driving roads behind the house and cut our first track in let than an hour of driving. Appeared to be a good size cat and the chase was on!

Congrats. I've always wanted to run cats like that. After killing my first cougar this year im hooked. Nothing in the world compares to being face to face with a mature lion.

My wife is hooked big time. She really wanted to shoot this guy. She will have her name in the hat for a permit next year.

Got some amazing video of this lion bailing out of the tree, at least 35 feet up. I have no clue how to post it.

We saw 4 other sets of tracks on the way home. Dogs will have a day off and run again Saturday!!
