I heard from a good source that they won't be having it this year.  :'( They didn't get started prepping early enough last year, and ended up forking out $ for a lot of the door prizes. It also takes a month or 2 to get the permit from the WDFW. It actually took a lot of work on the part of the Lions club to put that thing on. It was a good run, and i always had fun doing it.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Next weekend is the WPHA hunt out of Pasco. It covers the same areas that the Warden derby covers.
"One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted..If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job."
