Picked up my Color Phase Bear!
« on: January 14, 2014, 09:51:26 PM »
My bear rug is home!  Now where to put him!  We will have to do some rearranging. Sorry for the cell phone pic!
The rug.

That is really unique color phase.  I got a chocolate phase in 2010.  Would be nice if you posted some more picks from different angles.  Very nice rug.  Did you get it east of the Cascades?  I have read that in some areas up to 40% are color phase.

Awesome color right there. I have only seen one blond like that and of course i was at work, ran across the tracks in front of me about 4 days before the season started.

I shot him in Eastern Wa. just over the mountains  and the other photo was a head shot, but I couldn't get the photo turned the right way.  The pictures didn't turn out to good when I shot him due to just before dark harvest.  I have some of the cape the day after taking him.
Here's a picture of him on the ground, not a big bear,( a two year old) but it may be my only opportunity to take a blonde bear.  He had some rubbing on his shoulders or he may have been more of a cinnamon colored bear.  I'm glad I took him!

Here is one of his head.....if someone wants to turn the picture!!
