Bike adaptor
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:38:38 PM »
I do not need to hear any input on legality but I am curious if anyone has ever made something for your bike to ride railroad tracks?
I found a magical place a couple years ago and want to ride my bike in there figure it would be easier and faster by rail.
Thanks
If its brown knock it down

It must have been done quite a bit years ago, because I remember seeing a picture of a bike rigged up for riding the railroad tracks.  It had an outrigger sort of thing to reach across to the other rail for stability and to keep it "on track".  :dunno:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I looked into this some years ago, I seem to remember several companies making an outrigger for bicyles riding the rails. Seemed like a pretty good idea.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I don't really think it would be too hard to make one.
It is what you meant it to be...
