Now that I dropped six and a half bills on this Remington 700 VTR 223. For yote hunting.
Should I put a bipod on it.? I am a old fat boy so not into laying on my tummy for hours.
Have one of those Predator chairs from Cabelas. Inches off the ground. Do they make a bipod that tall?

How many of you use a bipod?

I've got a short bipod believe 12inches amd it works great but I've been looking into a pair of shooting sticks for standing or kneeling situations.  Nice rifle and there are longer bipods and I'm regretting not getting a pair hooked up right off the back but still like the set I have.

I have a 13"-27" Harris I threw in the drawer after I started useing a stoney point bi pod. It's about 20"-40". Snaps on and off of ur sling swival stud. A coller goes over existing stud and a new sling stud goes in the side. Takes about five minutes to put on, after that it takes a second to snap bipod on and off.

I'm looking just like you,I think I'm going to go for a Bog Gear tactical tripod that works from 6 to 40 inches with a 360 degree swivel on top.Noticed them being used on quite a few different predator shows.Should be a perfect fit for the chair I would think.

Bog Pod. Mine extends from a sitting position for your Cabelas chair up to standing height for shooting.  Well worth the money and versatility. I have one and it works great for us big boys.

get a cabelas tripod.  lightweight adjusts from seated to standing height don't have to use third leg.  very steady.  one of the better things I have purchased for coyote hunting.  I have a VTR in .308. even with the factory trigger a very accurate gun.  Upgrade to the 700 jewel trigger and you will have a super accurate shooter.

The new Primos Trigger Stick bi pod adjusts from sitting on the ground all the way to standing with the squeeze of a trigger. They are spendy though. The Bog Pod sportsmans bi pod is what I use. It was $30 and it works great. Very light to carry. Used it almost every weekend for two years straight and no sign of falling apart any time soon. I also use a low chair. Much better visability for calling elusive critters.

i know someone with the sling sticks and seems to like them, or buy a safari sling and carry either shooting sticks with you or a walking stick with a v cut in it, thats what i do and it works really good, made it out of a piece of madrona..

I have been looking at something like this tripod. I think it would work pretty good if sitting and calling from one spot for a while. then moving to another spot. folds up pretty compact.

I have one of these. Its great for sitting shots amd beginning hunters. Really supports the gun well. Kind of a pain to get set just right tho. I set it to whoever is going to use it one time then it works pretty well and quickly after.

Im the opposite.....started with the Stoney Point and out if shear dislike for the quality of the thing, went to a Harris........no comparrison

Ive got a Savage 22-250 for my varmint gun with a Nikon topper and 29 inch bi-pod on it.. Fits everything essentially from the prone position to sitting up on that critter seat you were talkin about ( i have the same one). Great gun and good luck brother

I like steady sticks. so that your gun is lighter when you're walking around.

just cut an old broom stick in half and bolt the ends together about 4 inches down,  slap some leather or hose over the end and call it a day.

might be fun to spray some camo on it if you're feeling the need.
