My first archery deer
« on: December 29, 2013, 10:33:26 AM »
This is my second season archery hunting and I had a feeling I was going to have tag soup. The only deer I seen was on a Christmas tree farm in Monroe. So yesterday a buddy that has some property had me over to hunt his land. That morning we walk around and spooked up one. We came back after lunch and started setting up an area for a ground blind. We were making quite a racket clearing a shooting lane when I seen a doe at 40 yards behind a bush. I sneaked around a tree to get around the bush and got within 25 yards and took the shot. The deer ran about 50 yards and expired. I can't wait for next year.
