My 2013 Mulies
« on: January 24, 2014, 07:25:52 PM »
These are my muley bucks from this year and yes the top one is from the famous desert unit       I'll make a long story short      we watched this deer for a couple hours on the second day and I passed him up in hopes for a 4x4  it worked out pretty good though about an hour later my dad got to put his first mulie down nice 4x3 at a little over 400 yards with no turret or dot scope just held over and dumped him . that evening I kept thinking man maybe I shouldn't have passed that buck up so set out for him the next morning luck would have it he was about right were we left him bedded down could have killed him from were we spotted him but the archery hunter in me wanted to get as close as I could so I crawled about eighty yards or so till I was right on top of him and waited till he stood up to stretch and smoked him at 16 yards pretty cool hunt with my dad and cousin .                          Second muley is a Montana buck first day there     I have no trigger control sometimes     I told myself not to shoot one the first day there since the year before did the same thing first day tagged out  but it was a good hunt got it all on video   (hopefully it will air on the pursuit channel on a new show called  ROLLING BONES TV) anyhow shot  him at 396 yards dropped him in his tracks and that worked out too, got to enjoy just being in Montana and help my cousin and his future wife with there bucks

Cory, Great job. Keep us posted as to when it's going to be on the tube. I haven't seen you in a few weeks so this must be a new development. Congrats!

Probably in the same place as everybody I know who kills a buck in Washington's is.  On the ground.  Pics without hunters orange look much more appealing. :twocents:

By the way, congrats!  That desert buck looks like a tank of an old beast.
