Anyone ever try this on the outside versus paint or vinyl to jazz up the exterior of the boat?  Granted this was a elevator door that was done, pictures really do not do it justice but it looked good, thoughts for the outside of my Wooldridge????

Never done it, but I've seen it done on boats.

Do it with a scotch bright type attachment on your 4" grinder and just hold it in one place a few seconds then go to the next one and the next so you have circle swirl marks in a grid pattern of sorts or like a fish scale pattern start from the back and work toward the bow that would be cool as heck !!

i remember there used to be a nice alaskan type aluminum fishing boat up by my grandma's house in des moines that someone had jewelled in a fish scale pattern.  kind of cool looking, but don't think it'd hold up to salt.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Just curious to what you mean?  I have scratches that are of similar marking, but smaller area, like dock rubs etc, that haven't changed or show different than the hull?  Really curious to know what you mean for my own sake in case I do get the nerve to do on the entire boat hull...

Large fish scale look would be cool as heck, way better than plain alum sides and of course you scratch it, re-swirl it...  Way cheaper than the 1500 for new vinyl...

Then you just have to paint fins on there and your set !!
