Blue Mountain Buck
« on: February 03, 2014, 08:14:06 AM »

I'm not one to post the real nice animals in my unit but it seems pretty slow here and wanted to generate some interest.
Yes the date is 2011 but he is still here and has had 3 years to cover does.  You know better than to ask where except he is in my unit which all my cameras are.

We tagged 6 for 7  Quality Rifle Permits.  None were really big bulls. The 4 BIG bulls we were watching are still there as far as I know.  I did not hear of anyone connecting on them.  2 nice 360 plus were taken by our early hunters.
Shed hunting will be hard this year.  We have very little snow and the animals are still spread out.  About 4 foot at the highest point where a  heavy year will be 11-14 feet.

Did your hunters want to go after the big boys that you were watching? When I spoke to your guide in there he said he didn't know what kind of hunters were coming to camp...

I know of 1 guy that made a solid effort at a big bull and went home empty. He's a member on here and his story is posted somewhere.

The story you are referring to Josh  was an archery hunt.  The 6 for 7 as posted were all rifle tags.  And yes the hunter that did not fill his rifle tag is also a member.  He preseason asked you some questions about our outfit.
