I've been trying for a few months without success I've tried everything if anyone has any tips or good areas around pierce county it would be greatly appreciated I'm in need of a live coon for getting my pup started

Speaking from very PAINFUL and EXPENSIVE experience DON'T do it.  $2000 fine and 2 years probation later is a very spendy experience.

If you want to start your pup set up a coon feeder, that way you have hot tracks and they usually tree close by.  Don't over do it on the easy coon for your pup.

Was hoping you'd chime in Fred.  Also the coon feeder thing works very well so x2 on that.

In the ole day's the guy's just put some coon juice on a adoptive House cat... But then we use to run them across a pond in black diamond with 6 dogs chasing and the coon eating lifesaver's all the way across the pond! Good ole day's Coon races!
