Easier or harder to find in the snow?
« on: February 09, 2014, 12:44:44 PM »
What do guys think? I have had better luck with no snow myself, although the snow helps find fresh sign. I had 2 of the 5 good bucks I've been watching shed, and I can't find them :bash:. Guess maybe I am spoiled after the easy ones I found last year :dunno:

Harder if they are buried in it.

Unless it's a bleached antler...wait how would a bleached antler be on top of the snow?   :dunno:

Ok, so tip#1. Look for the ones not buried in snow. Thanks again for the stellar tip

Do you take a shovel when you shed hunt? :bdid:

I find it much easier to see the brown color up against the snow. They really stand out.

A set of antlers in this picture! I only saw one when I was taking the picture. When I walked over to the antler, I found the other, and when I got home. I notice both were in the first picture.
