Feedback Request: Nosler Accubond Long Range .30 and 6.5

So, I finally have a couple boxes coming of the Accubond LR in 300 WSM 190 grain and 6.5 129 grain to try in my rifles. I generally hand load all my own rounds but of course the bullets themselves are not available yet. That being said, these are "Trophy Grade," so hopefully the quality level is pretty high.

Question to you guys who have loaded and shot these bullets...

What is your experience?

I've killed deer with the 150gr Accubond in a .300 WSM. They performed excellent, one shot stops will the bullet just under the hide on the off side at ranges between 300 and 400 yards. I never tried any heavier on game . The 190 should hit pretty hard and carry well.

Are your results with the Accubond Long Range or standard Accubond? If the its the Long Range, what kind of groups are you getting?

Mine is with the standard 150 Accubond, they shot really well.

Good info! I am surprised by the actually lack of performance when it comes to damage in the animal vs. a standard accubond. It looks like it bonded up and mushroomed like most standard accubonds. Interesting.

I guess I am going to find out if my rifle likes them or not.

But bullet performance when it comes to how it reacts on an animal is always a very eclectic bag of results. I myself have had an elk at 100+ yards take 180 grain Accubond in the heart and keep walking for another 20 yards acting like it never got hit until I thumped it with another shot. I have had a 185 Berger drop an Elk at 200 yards in its tracks...that same year, with the same round, I had a muley run all over gods creation with a well placed shot and took all day to find. I have had a 180 Barnes drop any animal with a well placed shot, but if not placed perfect... run all over the place.

I think the variable that can cause havoc is the animals adrenaline response. There is no way telling what that will be.

I'm looking forward to hear if you have better results than gutpile, the concept of the bullet sounds good.
