Antler Shrinkage
« on: August 31, 2007, 09:16:16 AM »
Does anyone have any idea how much a set of deer antlers would shrink if left in the weather over the course of a year?  I guess what I'm interested in is if the spread will shrink.  Anyone have any thoughts.

In my expieriance maybe an inch. Mosttimes not even enough to notice. It depends if it was left out in the open sun light open to the elements or if it was shaded and under cover. What is the situation? Did you find an old horn or leave one out? I usually dont worry about shrinkage ........................ :chuckle:
