Interesting vid. Worth the time to watch.

For me it reinforces how ineffective our state "management" has really become.

I saw it maybe a month ago.  I kind of liked seeing that there was a video on the subject.  Did notice that many of the sponsors are fishing related, not necessarily fish related---does that mean it is biased?  Don't really know,  :dunno: .  I liked that they bring up different examples and different viewpoints than the 'other side'.

Good video, I like to seeing actions and results, this video showed me some positive actions and some results. I also like seeing the cooperative efforts with the tribes, if the tribes can help bring back runs, everyone benefits. Perhaps we should all be trying to find more ways to work together with the tribes to improve runs?  :dunno:

It's a cool video and has some good ideas.  It sure seems as if a properly conducted hatchery program can benefit both fish and fisherman.  I think I'll do more reading into the hatchery programs referenced.

Also, didn't the sneider program get transferred to the bogi?

:yeah: 40 years after Boldt and where has opposing the tribes got us? I think some serious putting aside of history is needed for any good to result.

What I got out of the video was how stagnant our fish management has really become. The only management that has come out of the WDFW for awhile has been hatchery cuts and  season closures. The present trend has not proven very effective at providing sport opportunity or rebuilding depressed wild runs. They've got to be pressured to take some other action.
