Archery Entiat Help?
« on: November 19, 2008, 10:09:10 PM »
My partner & I took the camper up yesterday getting ready for our hunt. We drew the 2nd late hunt. We spent the day driving, hiking & glassing. Only saw 2 does. One was a whitetail. Just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on where to hunt if we don't have the snow up high by Nov. 30th. Are the usual spots, Mud creek, Steliko and Crum still places to target or should I plan on going high? Thanks for any help.

There are deer everywhere!  Just have to glass real good and you will see them.  Look for those white butts, dead give away.

I'm headed over Friday to start giving it a prehunt scout.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer as well. Been in the area a couple times, but just driving around looking. Never hunted it.
I know there's some good ones up high, and there have been some good ones already taken out. Hopefully there's a few big ones left, and somebody can help guide me in the right direction if you have some insight or knowledge of the area.

Thank you.

2nd season should be a doozy! The deer are scattered everywhere but you should not have a problem finding them. There are few migrators down already but not what is normally there. Saw one Sunday afternoon that would push 170 , had him 29 yards from the truck but the Nephew was not quick enough. Check some of the unpressured drainages as they are holding quite a few bucks. Good luck and pack the chains if there is snow.
Shut up and Hunt!

Sorry my bad, ICEMAN is absolutely correct two sets of chains, a shovel, and winch if you have one.
