12 y/o first archery help
« on: November 20, 2008, 09:33:52 AM »
Anyone know of anything near Spokane where I can put my daughter in a blind, we went out early season with no luck. She seems to think she needs a buck but I think she can take what she can get. I misread the regs and our spot is closed for late season. We have some places we are going to try. I just didn't get a chance to really check anything out this year with starting a new job and some other issues. Any help would be great.

You should check the regs first, but I know with a little foot work the green bluff area is good, farmers are more receptive to bow hunters in that area, especially with a kid.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I have been shot down more times in greenbluff than I can count, but that was for me (archery) not with a little girl. There is a little piece of land off hwy 2 that is state and there is a number posted that I have called and he said go right ahead (leased from the state). This will be my first time trying to rattle or call, I don't want to look too bad in front of my kid. Plus I want ther to have a good experience so she will continue to be interested.
