I'd recommend either a Primos or HS Strut pot call with a variety pack of strikers (wood, plastic,graphite.) If your only going to get one, get a glass call as it will work when its wet. More than one, get a slate and a glass. With a variety of strikers and these two types of calls you can make a ton of sounds. Also consider a box call. I use these calls the least but they can be very effective. Box calls have served me well on windy days and when I'm just trying to strike up a bird as they are loud calls and you can broadcast your sound over a large area.
