No it was one of those "The bird is in my hand now and you won't rip it back out" moments.

Not even a comment on how I got this English Style, Block headed black pointing retriever showing so much style? Nice three legged point, high tail, near level top line pointing that duck... 

BTW, This also happens to be one of the most highly decorated show labs on the west coast. Has a few best in shows and a bunch of best of breeds.

Paul,  I have my comments but I thought I'd save them for an in person review.
But I am surprised nothing from the PL people on here about our corrupt  sense of humor...

You know, he would do an excellent job of repositioning and re-establishing point as the duck was walking away. However, the ducks just don't cooperate and hold for the flush like the pheasants.
