Bird brains are at it again

We are once again having our windows attacked by the bird brained gobblers. They see their reflection in the window beside the front door and attack themselves by beating their heads against the window- to the point of leaving blood and slobber on it. Plan to tape up some cardboard to the window tomorrow but it looks trashy so I need to figure out a better alternative to keep them away. Besides which when they are attacking their reflection they are leaving lots of poop at the front door. Nice to have wildlife at home but some of it is quite a nuisance.

Gets some camo blind material and string it up a gobbler height.  Get that hunting feeling when you are looking out your window.   No real hunter would find that trashy

so what your saying is a 2ft by 3ft mirror is the best decoy a fella can get thats crazy, attacking your window and your bumper, sorry man but that is pretty funny, atleast you wont have any problem getting your turkey opening day

Had a Robin do the same thing to the chrome wheels on my wife's SUV last year craziest thing I have seen a bird do damn thing left poop all over the ground and the wheel

Hey just be thankful it's not a bull elk! Quite a few years ago that happened to the owners of the Olympic Game Farm. Guess the animals or at least the elk roamed all over the place including the owners yard and the house had big plate glass windows so they had a nice view of the game farm down below. I don't remember how many windows the bull took out before they ran him off. So it could be worse.

Try setting up a coyote decoy in your yard. I know owl decoys work for smaller birds.

sure am getting the fever but work may alter my hunting plans this year ...most likely go into my late hunt routine...How many birds have you seen around this year ...should be a banner year ??

That's funny when its not your window.   One of our distant  neighbors (everyone is distant around here  ) had a gobbler break one of there windows a few years ago. Good luck with your wild pets!

Looks like a good year. Don't know if it's going to be a "banner year" though. Winter flocks are splitting up as we speak. I saw two groups of birds that spent the winter in my back yard crossing the road about a mile away this morning. When you spend every day from Dec. thru March feeding and watching them , you get to recognize certain groups/birds.  How many turkeys do you see in the pics?? at least once a week these birds would fly off the roost and one would fly into the peak of the Lodge. KaBoom!!
