What Camo pattern?
« on: November 23, 2008, 05:24:46 PM »
What is your camo pattern of choice when hunting coyotes? I have some in seclution 3D open country and it seems pretty good for the sage country.

What are your thoughts?

I agree with jdb. I would recommend a lighter color pattern for open country. Dark stands out too much, but your gonna try to hide in shadows or by brush anyways. I strongly believe that all these fancy patterns are kind of a waste. I buy whats on sale. My favorite is the old woodlands army bdu pattern but it's a bit dark for open country yotes.

Just buy what you like and hunt smart, it all works.

We are on the same page gutpile. I have called in coyotes in blue jeans and a flannel shirt. if you set up well with a good back ground and the sun at your back color is of little or no consequence. JB

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I like the ASAT series. or the desert BDU's for over here on the Eastside. Im with the others , break up your outline, no fast movements and nothing shiny and your good to go. I do think camo is overdone, but Im one of the guilty ones to.

Im not sure about the name of the pattern, I think each piece is a differant brand and a differant pattern. the dogs dont seem to care, but every time i go out Im scared the camo cops will give me a ticket for miss matched gear. Realy I dont think it matters at all. break up your outline, sit still and they dont see you.
