I had a 22 incher a couple years ago, while trying to unhook him, the upper gamakatsu went right through my fingernail and out the other side of my finger like it was warm butter.

I had the fish still hooked in my right hand and the upper hook in my left index finger. Every time the fish would shake it would pull the hook in my finger.

I had to have my son grab the pliers and first cut the fish loose, then I cut the barb of the hook so I could pull it back out.
It hurt like heck, but it was worth seeing my son's face turn green when I held up my finger with the hook going through it!
Besides, it was a 22 inch Koke!
