Yup, some nice kokes and a nice place to fish but......we have plenty of them here on the west side that will easily compete with that crowd. Seems a lot of people think of kokes as 8-10 maybe 12" fish at most and they are in lakes that are over populated with them and have an inadequate food source. For those of us in the know on the west side we have hawg kokes too. 8) Nice fish though and good fishing to you guys. Thanks for the report :)

I must admit I have never bothered to take any pics of my own but here are some are some decent early season kokes from my local area. I will back them up with some of my own in the coming days, I promise. You can probably find out what lake this is but no worries with the fishing you have too :chuckle: Good fishing to you and I'll post some pics of this seasons action when I get on it.

Awesome! That is a mess of Kokanee right there! I have never been one for pics myself, but am having to get better at that. Something about Kokanee just gets my blood pumping! Love these fish! I will say, I feel sorry for the little cripple fish down in the corner.....poor guy never had a chance! LOL
Ya, post up some photos....I know I am going to. Looking for my first over 3 pound Kokanee this year! And dang it I am going to take a photo of it! LOL Hope you have an awesome season!

Don't feel too sorry for that little crippled fish, at least at one point in his life he was faster then the rest, LOL

Besides now I won't hook him

Mtn.Ghost, that is a stringer worthy of any smoker, beautiful fish!

I had a 22 incher a couple years ago, while trying to unhook him, the upper gamakatsu went right through my fingernail and out the other side of my finger like it was warm butter.  :yike:
I had the fish still hooked in my right hand and the upper hook in my left index finger. Every time the fish would shake it would pull the hook in my finger.  :'(
I had to have my son grab the pliers and first cut the fish loose, then I cut the barb of the hook so I could pull it back out.

It hurt like heck, but it was worth seeing my son's face turn green when I held up my finger with the hook going through it!

Besides, it was a 22 inch Koke!  :hello:
