Cool I will check out REI. They probably dont have the boot I am wanting but at least it will give me an Idea.
And Josh you were right No D at the end.
Does anyone know if this is a anti hunting company? Dont want to give them my money if they are.
Only reason I am looking at these is because I can get them half off.
As far as I know Zamberlan is not anti hunting. They make a boot designed specifically for KUIU.  :dunno:

I will go to rei to check them out.  However my half off price is a direct on line thing. So that's where I will buy  if I do. I would like to get a boot made in America but know that's hard to do.

Unfortunately, most of the best boots are made in Italy.

Zamberlan makes incredible fitting and durable boots and shoes as well. I have two pairs of boots and a pair of ascent shoes. Never an issue with leaking and they can be resoled. I wont buy any other brand.

Legendary boots in the backpacking world. Well respected. If they fit your feet, go for it.

I have never owned a pair of Zamberlan.  But I do know at least five Dall and Stone sheep guides that have switched to the Kuiu boot made by Zamberlan.  They are giving it some dang strong reviews!  If I didn't already have a hand full of good sheep boots I would be giving them a try.

If you like them Sportsman's Warehouse carries them online for order.  I haven't seen any in the store yet though.

I have a pair of Zamberlan GUIDE GTX RR I use for hunting. I love these boots. I have only used them for the last two years but they fit like a glove and offer plenty of support and grip for the terrain I hunt (steep and rocky).

I tried a few other Zamberlan boots on at a local REI for fit but ended up buying the Guide GTX online.

As far as fit goes... Different styles have different toe boxes (narrow or wider) length on all seemed to run about 1/2 size smaller when converting to US unit of measure.

Here is a great review:

You will also find reviews for Crispi and Kenetrek on the site linked above.

Cheers!

I have a couple pairs of Zamberlan's, only boots I've used for years now. There is a sporting goods store in Longview that has a good selection. I avoid buying boots online, I want to try them on.
