I am far from an expert on bow construction. All I can say is I own a couple and I  have owned this one for about 6 months now. I like it. It has not blown up in my hands and it shoots great for me. It is lighter than anything I have owned in the past and as I said it shoots great for me. As several have stated the grip is awkward if you are not use to it. Isn't that the case for all bows? I am now use to the grip and as I stated earlier it shoots great for me. Getting the drift? I shoot a lot and everyone I shoot with has had all the other brands. I personally have never had a bow fail on me, but I have seen a Hoyt, two Mathews, Martin and an Elite fail. All due to operator error. It's like I tell everyone that asks,  don't ask me what bow to buy, go shoot them and get what feels comfortable to you. They are all great and all suck depending on the stooge you talk too.

Come on back radsav

Radsav is coming back into the light!!

Actually that would be the darkness.  It's cold and you move slow in the darkness.  Isn't that Hoyt's business model?  :chuckle:

Don't get too excited boys.  Bowtech is still making the Experience and my two piece quivers fit that just fine!  They might not treat me like customer #1, but they don't treat me like the inconvenient pile of poop #2,000,001 either.

Sims is making some good strides with the new Proton too!  If you haven't tried the new grip, you should.  It's very nice!  And Steve treats me like a brother

Maybe Phelps, Alwine and I can gang up on the new Martin folks and get a two piece quiver mount added to the Alien and Nemesis.  That would be pretty dang sweet too!

And who knows...if it comes down to it I might just start making bows myself instead of going back to a company that doesn't care about bubba turd RadSav.

There are plenty of options to exhaust before I go back to Hoyt...But it could happen :chuckle:

Just shot the Carbon Knight today along with the Assassin, the Mathew Heli-M, Creed, and a couple others.
The carbon knight was my favorite. Smokin fast, super light, way quieter than the assassin and nearly half the price of the Mathews.
That said both the Mathews Creed and Heli-m we great, and close competitors, but at $400+ price increase they needed to bring more to the table. The Creed had an odd resonance after the shot, the Heli-m was nearly perfect, but the Knight was A little quicker, noticeably lighter, and a little quieter. The back wall was also very solid, draw back and bam.. you're there, and not going any further.

The only con on the knight was that it sat still or even rocked back a little in my hand after the shot (instead of tipping forward) But I was shooting without a stabilizer or sight, once those are hanging off the front, I suspect it would be a non issue.

Just my opinion, well worth what you paid for it.

Thanks guys really appreciate the info. Still have yet to shoot one. One of the wonders of living in the middle of nowhere.
Slinging arrows and flinging lead is in my blood!

Other bows in that price range that compare IMO are the PSE Drive, Mission Ballistic, Martin Lithium, Hoyt Charger and the Bear Method.  There is a bunker crop of absolutely great bows in that $500-600 range.  Nothing that compares in carry weight to the Carbon Knight, but some that beat up on it in regards to performance and features.  I like all six mentioned and would gladly use any one of them for hunting.  It would be a hard decision choosing one over another!
