Meanwhile:

But Sierra Club lobbyist Sandy Bahr said this kind of legislation “creates this big bad wolf idea we need to get past.”

Steele, in an effort to block SB 1211, drew on her Seneca heritage and beliefs.

“We are related to the trees and the dogs and the cats and the wolves,” she said.

“This may not be your religious view,” Steele continued. “But it is indeed mine.”

You're wrong BC. To those people, animals > people. They're not just liberals. They're enviro-wacko liberals.

Oh I know of some Conservatives who eat vegetarian and think the same way. Don't kid yourself into thinking they don't exist.

Regardless, she's wrong. If she really wants everyone to get past the "big bad wolf syndrome" as she calls it, it's precisely this type of legislation that will do it. No longer do people have to feel like they can't defend themselves or what's theirs.

TRUE, that has been one of the big problems with wolf introduction, people couldn't legally defend their property. One of the main reasons I am so against wolves. There is no reality with these wolf whackos. I don't see that big of problem if they would manage wolves and not force uncontrolled numbers on people.

I wonder if the "Stand Your Ground" defense would work if you shot a wolf?
