Toutle used to be a draw you could count on every few years..."point inflation" has really hit hard, hasn't it?
It doesn't seem that the point inflation has had to big of an effect. It's just 50 permits and 1500 apps. Then if you added the points for each app I bet I don't even have a 2% chance at that tag.
The eastside is some fun hunting. I could have killed a calf the year I hunted out there. Had her at like ten feet full draw and second geussed killing her. I wanted momma cow and they busted me. My grandfather said I passed on the tenderest steaks ever. I know four different areas out east pretty well. We'll enough to find elk in when I do go east. I wounder when my area I elk hunt goes permit. There's already permit area around me where I hunt so hopefully they never go permit.
