Barely any in the Margaret. Toutle has a large chunk of state land, but there's no guarantee that Weyerhaeuser will allow access through their land to get to it.

Just take a left at the Toutle store and go about 2 miles and it's on the right. Can't remember the name of the road but it's easy to find on Google Earth.

That's a broad question. When where what season? If they just did away with east and west they would increase quality permits for all the east side hunts by a ton. Yes some eastsiders would come west but then again some westsiders would go east. I wouldn't care if they got rid of certain rifle seasons to increase archery permits.

They don't need as many quality permits on the west side as they do on the eastside because the general seasons are already open to branch antlered bulls. Unlike the eastside.sent from my typewriter

I'm not talking about adding more hunts. Just giving westsiders archers more options. If westsiders archers could put in out eastit would increase the options by a lot of special permits. If you still don't understand then I can't help you. I you understand but don't agree and prefer the seasons the way they are then I respect your opinion but also respecfully dissagree.

You guys can put in for nooksack too. I just looked and archery hunters with that tag had a 54 day split season. Even I could get it done in 54 days.
that was my first choice. My second was the toutle. The nook I have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than to draw. And the toutle is like 5% chance. the toutle is hardly a quality hunt and is harder to draw than the premium tags out east, by a substantial amount.

1 in 4 odds in Rimrock? Huh? You must have a ton of points.

Quote from: jackelope on April 24, 2014, 06:33:32 PM1 in 4 odds in Rimrock? Huh? You must have a ton of points. No I will have four this year. Average points for 2013 were 5. 96 tags 423 apps. Yeah my odds would be just under 1-4. 1-5 at worst that's assuming a majority put in with more points than me. And I bet a majority put in for that hunt with similar amount of points as I have this year 4.
Actually that's pretty close according to the odds that idahohunter posted. His numbers actually show 1 in 3 odds for someone with 4 points. Although with the access permits being required for most areas here in SW Washington, I think odds for eastside permits will be drastically less than what the numbers show.
I agree. Much harder. I will draw multi one year hopefully before I burn my points in the toutle.
Toutle used to be a draw you could count on every few years..."point inflation" has really hit hard, hasn't it?
