Yep, spent the day in there today.  Spitting rain all day but still a pretty nice day for spring bear hunting.  Only saw elk and deer sign.  I'd like to see the elk that made some of the huge prints I saw today

I agree Woodman.  My theory is that Main Gate bears tend to work harder for what they have and therefore have a higher regard for their appearance - as opposed to Bridge Side bears that freeload off "the man".  Still working on the theory

I think that you have a misunderstanding about these bears. I think that the ones that have coats that show wear are of the working class bears. The ones that have the perfect coats are probably of a class that gets everything handed to them and are probably kind of clickish. You should check that bear for painted claws. Just saying.

Those coats get rubbed on bridge gate side from laying in the road waiting for the  feeder dude to show up with "hand outs"

I met the "feeder dude" last week. Geez, you don't want to cross him! I got along ok with him, but I have talked to some that he has really chewed out.
