Thanks for the comments.  Yes  it looks like a muzzle loader bullet hole. Probably  gave him a headache. Lol

Thanks for the comments. that hole in his horn is cool and if you look at the bases of his horns they swoop down also. It is a cool looking moose has a lot of caricature to his horns.
