So many responses and so many options on the market, glad a number of people responded.

Probably Slick Trick if it's 1" and four bladed.  Good head!

We were trying to see if they would sell after the founder passed away.  All my leads said the company was not for sale.  Then found out last week it was purchased by the parent company to Elite, Winners Choice, Scott...  Seems we are always a day late and a dollar short :bash:  Hopefully they will continue the good work Slick Trick was doing.

Sometimes, Yes!  Sometimes, No!  Depends on area, animal behavior, pressure and time of year.

I hate tree stands so 95% of the time I say, No.  I'm sure many others on here will say, Yes!

tree stands are effective but I cant sit that long. you cant go wrong with a slick trick or a shuttle t. no way I will ever shoot an elk with a two blade head again inless it has good size bleaders because there fat will plug the hole. two blades work well with recurves when you have low KE.

Have a friend who is trying to talk me into a tree stand.  Not sure I like the idea.
Like my slick tricks, when did ownership change hands?  Got great service from them a couple years ago.   On the other end of the arrow what color fletching?  White is the easiest to see, but so will the elk.  Red?
Old enough to know better.

Sounds like a new thread to me?   :chuckle:

I've been using Muzzy Mx-3s 100gr, but would like to take a look at the new Savoras.

Not sure what date the ink was laid.  But it was recent.  Here is a link  http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/outdoor-group-acquires-slick-trick-broadheads/

Fire Orange and Red are both very good colors for seeing and remaining stealthy.  I agree with you on the white!  Pink and purple are also good choices.

I am still an old school NAP 100 grain Thunderhead believer.  If it aint broke don't fix it.  When I switched to 2" blazer vanes I was told a long broadhead wouldn't work with them and I would have to go to a G5 or a slick trick.  Something about a long broadhead and short vane I would have planing problems.   I stuck with the Thunderheads and they fly just fine for me.
:yeah: Old school for me too. BTW, they are cheap to buy, don't see why I need to spend high dollars for something new.

Like the way the Striker 100 flies and kills.
Slick trick flies well, but I have not personally taken game with them.
Waiting to hear/see reviews on the new Savoras as well
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

If they're like the old Savoras, they'll be worth every penny.  I've got the sold Savoras and you could shave a fly with those blades.  HOLY CRAP THEY'RE SHARP!!!
