E-stock packs.
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:26:21 AM »
I know there are a lot of you guys wearing E-stock packs. How do you guys like them, and what kind of frame do they have?. A fellow I work with has one, not a just one or a dragon fly, but the smaller one. It doesnt have a frame but kind of a plastic stay? Is that right?..

Anyhow, I'm thinking of going a little bigger. I don't need more than 4000ci. I'm a Badlands guy, but I'm not feeling the 2800 pack.  What kind of warranty does E stock have? Any input, or criticism is welcome.

I had a 104,I got the most flexable one in order to use it while riding a bike.It was a failed expirement. The quality  and layout of the pack is great. If I wer to try one again it would be  one of the model with stiffer stays to carry heavy loads better.Thier cust. service is excellent,I called twice and Glen Eberle called me back himself twice. With all that said Take a hard look at Kifaru,If you work as a guide it might even be a tax deductable purchase  . I got rid of my Just one J104, it was fairly heavy out of the box.  Also I just didn't like the way it fit me.  So after selling it to a coworker I purchased the Sitka gear pack.  It looks like a big bulky pack, but boy does it compress down, and it is very light also.  After using it in the rain for severely days it never leaked a drop.  Waterproofness is very important to me, I always have a digital camera and a video camera in my pack so I cant have a pack to leaks.  The only thing i dint like about the Sitka is the top removable pack the straps that hold it on come loose unless you have a full load in the pack, so I just use the pack without the top loader.  The Sitka expensive but it fits great, very light, waterproof, and will pack a good sized load.  Oh ya it also has a cargo meat suspension system built into it.  Give it a look :twocents:
