there is a huge difference in cheap oil and main brand brand oil. i cant tell you the chemical break down but what i can tell you from my years of experience as an outboard tech cheap oil does not burn half as well as premium brand oils. side effects of cheap oil is plugged exhaust systems, increased spark plug fouling, bad lubricating through out the rpm range. most cheap 2 stroke oils are really designed for your weedeater that you run at a constant full throttle, not for sustained time at an idle. doesnt matter what kind of motor i own i will run quicksilver or mercury premium plus, or d.f.i. oil.  :twocents:

All depends on what kind of motor you're running.  I'll be damned if I'm using cheap Wally oil in a $15K Yamaha, when they call for and highly recommend Yamalube. :twocents:

You're the kind of customer a manufacturer loves.  Paying for an overpriced product because it says Yamaha,Honda,Mercury, etc on the label.

And your the kinda guy that saved a buck but snagged a ring on carbon build up as a result! Your also the kinda guy outboard mechanics love at 110 an hour. Lol

Amsoil is the only thing used in my brothers race boats.  Its a benefit to him as well since I'm a dealer.  Amsoil has remarkable results.  Also, his race motors run at extreme RPM's and he has never blown apart a motor since he started many years ago.  MY  :twocents:
