Tons of berries their in the fall so it could be pretty good.  It would be a good little hike out if you got one though.   Make sure you don't shoot one in the park though the boundary isn't to far from the lake.

Just an fyi. Friends don't let friends talk about their honey holes.  You not only talked about it, you broadcasted it to the whole world.  Pretty low in my book.  Someone gave you a tip on a spot to check out and you came on here and gave it to everyone and their little brother.  Go ask him if he is ok with you asking advise about this specific location and come back and tell us he ain't pissed.

Like no one else knows there are bears up there! FYI I think your welcome post to a new member sucks!!   You broadcasted to the whole world just how selfish you can be..  Pretty low in my book... The OP came here to talk hunting and you stuck yoir foot right in his mouth.

NO actually I didn't.  His buddy gave him a tip on a spot to check out in confidence and he came on here and told the whole world.  Pretty low in my book.  If it was his spot than he can talk about it all day long.  When he admits in his first post that his work buddy told him about the area and comes on the internet asking about it after he'd already been up there and "seen" bears.  Really what is he looking for?  He hiked his butt off and got in there and seen what he was after than came asking about it. Not sure what more he needs.  Surely not more competition for himself and I would bet a paycheck his buddy wouldn't be pleased that he mentioned an exact spot in a post on here.

Not that I care what you think about me RT, but I've helped a decent handful of people on here with specific locations, but I do it in pm, because that's the respectful way to deal with specific locations.  A lot of guys work hard to learn an area and don't want an internet troll given gps coordinates to their spot.  Swakane used to be a great place to hunt until guys like you that felt the need to be a "hero" and tell the whole world about it.  Apparently you don't get it.  I've read a lot of your posts and didn't expect you to say that to me.

My point was, he didn't give exact location. No gps no south side of the lake, no road. I think you were a bit harsh.  I think he was looking for more info? Who isn't?

I understand your frustration with what he posted but that should be between him and his buddy.  Not you nor me.  We are all hunters, we share some and get sime info here and there.  Maybe I am wrong about his posting, but seems like he was looking for opinions on going back there or not. We all scout diffrently.

Hope that clears my thoughts up! No offense meant!

I may have came across a tad harsh in my first post, but it's the truth.  Not sure what else he would need to know.  He found bears and seen the area.  Once you've been up there you should have a pretty good handle on it.  Now all he needs to do is kill one up there to know he won't want to do it again:)  Too much work for a bear for me personally so I don't hunt up there.  I do know people that do and know they don't want more company than they already have.  Just like the spots we all have worked to learn the hard way.  Not having someone do all the leg work for us.

Outside of a pm I don't think we should be giving more info out other than vague info for a general area to check out.  We shouldn't be saying "go up said ridge on the sw side of the lake and glass down to your left behind the rock".  Maybe exchange numbers or emails privately and discuss stuff like that.  Remember it isn't just Gutpile08 that is pulling from this info.  The whole world can see it.

Welcome to the site!!  There are a lot of know it alls and just plain a**holes on this site that look to pounce on anything that they don't agree with. Not pointing my finger at anyone but it's just the plain truth. I have refrained from posting on many threads just because of that fact....PERIOD
