first soak this year
« on: June 02, 2014, 09:45:38 PM »
First check of the year after a 3 week soak. I guess the first cow liked the trace minerals so much and stopped too fast for the two elk behind her, and they ended up her butt  :chuckle: The cow laying down was there for 2 hours before getting up to move. I was really hoping she was going to drop a calf. I'm not a pro at gauging bear, so what do you guys think of him? The weed by his front shoulder came up to my knee, so he looks like he is a little taller than my waist. Beautiful black coat too.

Ears are a little closer together which would indicate a younger bear, head and body decent though I would say no way last years cub at least 2 to 3 years to get that size
